Rhode Island is mostly known as the smallest state in the country which was also the first state to declare independence from British Rule. The name of this state refers to the island located in Narragansett Bay.
Rhode Island was also the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. The state was once the leader in textiles, but the Great Depression caused many of these companies to move to the south. The state is now very large in the health service industry and is second in tourism. The state’s industrial outputs include fashion Jewelry Logos, fabricated metal products, electric equipment, machinery, shipbuilding, and boat building. The agricultural outputs include nursery stock, vegetables, dairy and eggs.
The culture in Rhode Island is very different and can best be compared to people from Brooklyn. Rhode Islanders have also been stereotyped as being extremely superstitious as the the people here believes in vampires and there are several well-documented stories of people.
